The Foxwheel is a foldable travel wheelchair that weighs 9.8 kg, built for a carer to push on trips and outings. It folds front to back to 26 cm deep, and a telescopic pull handle lets you roll it behind you like a suitcase. It carries users up to 100 kg, and a seat belt is included.

How this foldable travel wheelchair works

A carer pushes the chair using the handles, and controls the brakes from there as well. The seat is 40 cm (16 inches) wide and 40 cm deep, and it sits 51 cm from the floor. The armrests and footrests flip up, so getting in and out is easier. The 10-inch rear tyres are solid, so they never need pumping.

To pack it, fold the chair front to back. Folded, it measures 54 cm wide, 26 cm deep and 76 cm high, and it stands upright on its own. Then pull out the telescopic handle and roll the chair behind you, so there is no need to carry it.

Can I take it on a plane?
Yes, but not in the overhead locker. It is a manual wheelchair with no battery, so airlines usually carry it as checked baggage or collect it at the aircraft door, and return it when you land. However, every airline has its own procedure, so tell your airline about the wheelchair when you book.

How do I move it when it is folded?
Pull out the telescopic handle and roll the chair behind you on its wheels, the same way you would pull a suitcase.

Will it fit in my car boot?
Folded, it measures 54 cm wide, 26 cm deep and 76 cm high. If you would like to be sure it fits, bring your car to one of our showrooms and try it.

Can the user push it themselves?

How big is the seat?
It is 40 cm wide and 40 cm deep, which is about 16 inches each way. The seat sits 51 cm from the floor.

Do the tyres need pumping?
No. The tyres are solid, so they never need pumping and cannot puncture.

What does the warranty cover?
One year on the steel frame, against manufacturing defects. Parts that wear with use, such as tyres, upholstery and armrest pads, are not covered.
