DonJoy OA Reaction WEB Instructions

The brace should feel snug and supportive without causing discomfort. Do not overtighten the straps.

• Pull on the optional undersleeve and position the kneecap in the centre of the hourglass-shaped opening
• Place the silicone web over the knee and align its opening with the kneecap
• Ensure the DonJoy logo faces outward and the dimpled surface faces the leg
• Position the off-loading hinge and silicone pad at the centre of the knee joint
• Feed the lower straps through the openings on the opposite side of the hinge and secure them to the back pad
• Repeat the process with the upper thigh straps
• Ensure the grey side of the back pad faces the leg and the black loop side faces outward
• Pull both lower straps until the brace feels secure
• Repeat with the upper straps
• Check that the brace remains comfortable and does not restrict circulation

The off-loading hinge may require adjustment to provide the appropriate amount of pressure. This adjustment should preferably be performed by a qualified healthcare professional.

• Hand wash the silicone web, plastic components and soft materials using mild soap and lukewarm water
• Rinse all components thoroughly
• Allow the web and soft components to air dry separately
• Do not machine wash, tumble dry or use bleach
• Make sure the brace is completely dry before wearing it again

How to Measure

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, your knees slightly bent and your leg muscles engaged.

Using a flexible measuring tape, measure:

• Around the thigh, 15cm above the centre of the kneecap
• Around the centre of the knee
• Around the calf, 15cm below the centre of the kneecap

Use these measurements to select the correct size. The knee measurement is the most important. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choosing the larger size is generally recommended for improved comfort and fit.
